As a Harrogate based professional photographer, the lead up to the Tour de France Grand Depart has been very busy. However, perhaps one of my most unusual commissions came on Thursday when I received a call from one of my clients, Yorkshire Building Society, asking if I could travel to Kettlewell in the Yorkshire Dales to photograph 150 yellow sheep!
A nod to the Tour de France and also marking the Yorkshire company’s 150th anniversary, the yellow sheep proved quite a spectacle and will be sure to catch the eye of TV camera men as they fly overhead on Saturday! They even have their own Twitter account ‘@TDY_YellowSheep). Watch out for them on the race route as the riders pass by Grassington and Kettlewell.
